JAKARTA - As the owner of Twitter, Elon Musk must take immediate action to limit access to reading tweets. It is claimed, this is because an Artificial Intelligence (AI) company has stolen platform data.

Musk said the daily limit would apply to verified accounts with 6.000 readable tweets per day, unverified accounts with 600 tweets per day and new, unverified accounts with only 300 tweets per day.

Shortly after, Musk again increased the limit where verified accounts can view 10,000 tweets per day, unverified accounts rose to 1000 posts.

Meanwhile, the new account has not been verified, increased to 500 tweets that can be seen. It's not yet clear how Twitter will count tweets that have been read.

Is it when the user scrolls past the tweet, or actually interacts with the tweet in some way, like clicking on it.

Musk's announcement comes as thousands of users reported problems trying to access Twitter over the weekend.

That led to the latest widespread outage since the billionaire acquired Twitter late last year. Previously, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX also implemented new rules.

Anyone who wants to see someone's tweets must first log in to their account. This incident started when many Twitter users noticed their tweets and profiles were not accessible through web browsers on desktop and mobile devices, unless they were logged in to their account.

Both changes are intended by Musk to tackle data scraping and system manipulation. However, because many complained, he stated that the change was only temporary. This was quoted from Business Insider and CNBC International, Monday, July 3.
