Google Donates IDR 13.6 Billion For Teacher Welfare In Indonesia

JAKARTA - For the welfare of teachers in Indonesia, Google donated around 1 million US dollars (US) or the equivalent of IDR 13.6 billion to the Smart Movement initiative of the non-profit educational organization Bebras Indonesia. The funds will be used to assist the implementation of computational thinking skills training for 22 thousand teachers in 22 small and large cities in the country.

The Smart Movement is planned to be run for two years by utilizing online and offline materials. Not only teachers, the program also helped two million students learn how to think critically.
