Tesla Boss Shows Off A Smart Robot That Can Produce Electric Batteries

The short video shows a robot producing a battery agile, fast and sustainable. Smart robots are combined with automatic machines so that the manufacturing process is continuous.

The electric battery factory, called the Gigafactory, was first built in Sparks, Nevada, with an estimated $ 5 billion (70.2 trillion equivalent) in funding. The first factory was built in 2014 on an area of 49.2 hectares.

The factory accommodates as many as 7,000 employees. All employees work with smart robots in the process of making batteries, electric cars, powerpacks and powerwall.

According to a CNBC International report, the automation process in factories is very thick. They also report that one part of production is 90 percent automatic.

Energy Efficient Factory

The plant, located in the Nevada desert, faces north to optimize the solar panels installed on its roof. The Gigafactory is designed in such a way as to be able to generate electricity independently, including by utilizing solar power, wind power and geothermal energy.

Going forward, Tesla plans to install 200,000 solar panels on the roof of the Gigafactory. Not only that, this factory is also equipped with a sophisticated cooling system because this factory is located in the desert.

Previously, the Gigafactory 1 factory was monitored because it was considered a waste of energy. The company denies the allegations, saying that the factory has many ways to save energy.
