LG's New Smartphone "Made In India" Has Military Grade Certification

JAKARTA - A few days ago, LG just announced the presence of its newest smartphone in India, the LG K42. This "Made in India" device made its debut with a price tag of Rs. 10,990 (IDR 2.1 million).

The Indian version of the LG K42 comes in one 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage option. LG also offers an extended warranty for 1 year (2 years total) and one-time screen replacement for free.

According to Advait Vaidya, Business Head-Mobiles, LG India, the company is committed to its "Make in India" initiative. In honor of this, LG made the K42 locally in India.

The LG K42, like in other regions, is certified military grade MILD-STD-810G for durability. Available in gray and green with a textured chop pattern for increased ergonomics and grip.

The company claims that the device is sturdy enough to pass 9 categories of US Military defense standards including high temperature, low temperature, temperature shock, vibration, shock, and humidity, among others.

As for the specifications, the device offers a 6.6-inch HD + FullVision-centered punch-hole display with a resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20: 9. On the performance front, LG relies on the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset.

For the camera, there is a four rear camera setup with a 13MP main lens, 5MP super-wide (115 ° FOV), 2MP depth, and 2MP macro sensor. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie lens.

LG provides features like Flash Jump Cut to retrieve 4ximages at regular intervals, Time Helper to alert people with Flash, AI features and more.

Other features include a MicroSD slot of up to 2TB, 3.5mm audio jack, LG 3G sound engine, 4,000mAh battery, Type-C port, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and LG UX based on Android 10.

This year, as competition for mobile devices in the global market gets tighter, it is rumored that LG will stop making smartphones and will switch to other LG business lines.
