JAKARTA - Some time ago Facebook experienced a problem by sending friend requests to all profiles that users visit.

But now, the Meta-owned social network claims to have fixed an issue that was causing Facebook to send out friend invites whenever a user visited any profile.

Meta stated the bug appeared after the company rolled out an app update, "We have stopped this from happening and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused," Meta told The Daily Beast.

Of course, this Facebook bug was immediately discussed by users who experienced it on social media.

In fact, some of them have experienced Facebook sending friend requests to people they are trying to block.

Launching Engadget, Monday, May 15, news about the bug appeared after Meta announced that it would lay off 10,000 employees.
