Survey: More Than Half Of Singles Use ChatGPT To Deceive Prospective Couples On Online Dating Apps

JAKARTA - Kaspersky conducted a recent study entitled 'Date or DAITE?'. In this study, Kaspersky surveyed single men and women in the UK to understand how artificial intelligence (AI) and especially ChatGPT affects the world of dating.

The study revealed that as many as 75 percent of single people surveyed were interested in using ChatGPT to improve their chat skills.

Among them, more than half (52 percent), women will use ChatGPT to increase the number of people they talk to on dating apps at the same time.

On the other hand, more than half of the (54 percent) single men surveyed said they might be interested in using ChatGPT to trick potential couples on dating apps into looking more supportive or smart when looking for love.

However, the findings raise concerns about a possible new AI-based catfishing era, with 57 Peters of all respondents believing its use in online dating arrangements being dishonest.
