JAKARTA - Following the Vivo Y31s, which uses the Snapdragon 480 5G mobile platform, it is now OPPO's turn to announce its newest smartphone, the A93 5G, powered by the same chipset.

Previously it was announced that Vivo, OPPO, Xiaomi and several other brands will launch SD480 powered phones in Q1 2021.

The OPPO A93 5G has dimensions of 162.9 x 74.7 x 8.4mm and weighs 188 grams. This budget device has an LTPS LCD panel measuring 6.5 inches with a punch-hole design.

The screen supports Full HD + resolution, 20: 9 aspect ratio, DCI-P3 color gamut, pixel density up to 405 pixels per inch (ppi), and 90Hz refresh rate.

In terms of photography, this device has an 8MP front camera and three cameras on the back consisting of a 48MP main lens, 2MP portrait lens, and 2MP macro lens.

Meanwhile, in terms of the kitchen runway as mentioned at the beginning of the paragraph, this phone is powered by the Snapdragon 480 SoC chipset which is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB / 256GB internal storage. This phone runs on Android 11.

Some of the other features embedded in the OPPO A93 5G include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, face lock, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB-C port. This device is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery capacity with fast charging up to 18W.

Available in Elegant Silver, Dazzle Black, and Aurora colors, the A93 5G is sold at prices starting from 1,999 Yuan (IDR 4.3 million) for the highest 8GB / 256GB variant. Meanwhile, the regular variant is not known. The availability in markets other than China is not yet available
