"With many advanced Unreal Engine 5 tools and workflows on your finger, including imports of special assets, modeling, materials, and VFX, Sequencer, and Rig Control, you will have a new world choice to produce and publish games and experiences for Fortnite that millions of players can enjoy," Epic wrote in its announcement.

Epic says that UEFN is working side by side with existing Fortnite Creative devices, where creator teams can work together to develop and test islands in real-time.
Built on the concept used in Fortnite Creative devices, with the addition of new features and capabilities, this Beta version will give creators some capabilities, such as:
What is the difference between UEFN and Unreal Engine 5?
UEFN is designed to create experiences for Fortnite. That is, every experience you create can be published directly to the Fortnite platform. Thus, UEFN combines fabrication tools from Fortnite Creative with Unreal Editor, allowing Unreal Engine creators to develop content for Fortnite using a known interface.
"UEFN will continue to evolve through Beta to add more functionality to the already known creators of the Unreal Editor, give creators control over more aspects of their Fortnite experience, and expand the capabilities of the Verse API and framework," Epic concluded.
