Citroen Ami Buggy, A Small Car From France Like Renault Twizy

JAKARTA - The 2023 Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW 2023) exhibition shows off many cars at JCC Senayan, Jakarta. However, there is one unique and rare car at Citroen's booth.

The car is called Citroen Ami Buggy. This car is classified as rare because it is only produced as many as 50 units in the world, one of which is exhibited in Indonesia. The tiny car was imported from its home country, France.

Ami Buggy has quite successfully caught the attention of the public at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Senayan. This car is only 2,410 mm long, 1,390 mm wide, and 1,525 mm high. This is smaller than Wuling air EV's tiny electric car.

The Buggy car has a door made of iron. In fact, the driver can be seen from outside. The position of the steering wheel on Ami Buggy is still in the left position, no wonder this car is not for sale.

With an electric motor capable of producing 8 dk or 6 kW of power, the maximum speed of Ami Buggy is only 45 km/hour. With a battery with a capacity of 5.5 kW, this car is capable of running up to 70 km in a full battery state.

Of course, Citroen Ami Buggi reminded automotive fans of the tiny car from another French country, Renault Twizy.

However, Renault Twizy is much faster with an asynchronous 3CG-electric engine capable of emitting 17 dk and can go up to 80 km/hour. Twizy can go from 0-45 km/hour in just 6.1 seconds.
