Developers Can Now Publish Their Own Games On Epic Games Store

JAKARTA - Epic Games is launching a new capability for game developers to be able to publish its games on the Epic Games Store, in an easy and affordable way on Thursday, March 9.

"Today we launched a self-issuance at the Epic Games Store. These tools allow developers and publishers to efficiently release gums, maintain their store's presence in person, and reach more than 68 million monthly active users whose numbers continue to grow," Epic Games wrote in its announcement.

With this new program, you only need to use Epic Developer Portal to release your game using Epic Games publishing tools. These tools are available for any developer or publisher with games that meet store requirements.

As mentioned earlier, any developer can issue their game in Epic's game store, but there are several conditions that need to be met, including:

The Crossplay PC for Multiplayer Games: That is, multiplayer games must be compatible to cross on all PCs, to ensure that all players can buy and play games easily anywhere.

Epic Games Store Achievements: All games connected to the Epic Games Store issuance tool after March 9, 2023, must activate Epic Games Store achievements if the game has achievements in other PC stores. This helps standardize player experience wherever the game is purchased.

Age Rating for Regional Distribution: If your game already has a rating from the official rating system, the rating should be displayed on your game store page.

But if not, Epic Games will help developers get ratings.

Banned Content: Learn what content is prohibited on Epic Games Store. Make sure your game content doesn't have the banned content, including hateful or discriminatory content, pornography, illegal content, scams, fraud, or fraudulent practices, such as fake games or malware.

Game Quality: The game that is published must have a function that matches the game description. Epic has the right to reject games that are deemed insufficient quality and functionality.
