Advanced Technology Behind A1339 Super Hercules Aircraft Now Owned By Indonesian Air Force

JAKARTA - The A1339 Super Hercules aircraft, also known as the Lockheed Martin C-130J Super Hercules, is a military transport aircraft used by the United States Air Force and various other countries. This sophisticated aircraft, since Wednesday, March 8 has become part of the Indonesian Air Force.

President Joko Widodo witnessed the handover of the C-130J-30 Super Hercules A-1339 and C-130H A-1315 aircraft by Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto to TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono. The handover ceremony was held at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.

In his statement after the event, President Joko Widodo said that the Super Hercules aircraft was a very sophisticated aircraft. The aircraft can be used to transport troops and cargo weighing up to 19.9 tons.

"This is the C-130-J-30 Super Hercules aircraft that we received this morning. This is a very sophisticated aircraft. transporting 98, but if only troops are not parachutists, they can carry 128 troops and can transport 19.9 tons," said the President.

This aircraft is equipped with advanced technology to ensure safety, speed and accuracy in the delivery of personnel and cargo around the world. This aircraft is claimed to have a price of IDR 2.8 trillion.
