With this feature, content creators can use it as a usual and fast way to keep followers updated with their news via text messages, photos, videos, voice records or create polls to collect feedback from fans.
But unfortunately, only creators can send messages on the channel, while followers can only react to content and vote in polls.
Anyone can find a broadcast channel and view the content. Followers can exit or mute broadcast channels at any time, or completely turn off creator broadcast channel notifications.
Currently, Meta is testing the broadcast channel feature to several content creators in the US, and plans to expand it in the coming months.
Instagram will also add more features, such as the ability to bring other creators to channels to discuss future collaborations, and much more.
More than that, Meta is also planning to introduce this new feature to Messenger and Facebook in the coming months.
