Is This What An IPhone Folding Screen Phone Looks Like?

JAKARTA - Rumors about Apple's folding screen phone have been circulating for a long time. But this has not been confirmed by the technology giant from Cupertino, USA.

However, the latest information compiled from the Gizchina page shows that Apple is preparing to launch an iPhone with a folding screen phone design. Apple said that it is testing a prototype of its folding screen phone with a clamshell design.

According to Apple analyst Jon Prosser, the foldable iPhone design is similar to the Motorola Razr or Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. The design will use two separate devices attached by a hinge, so that the iPhone can be opened and folded into a smaller size.

Other rumors say, if Apple is also testing designs with folding screen models such as the Galaxy Fold or Microsoft Surface Duo. Prosser said Apple is testing the foldable iPhone at one of its partner factories, Foxconn.

The iPhone trial with the folding screen technology at Foxconn is not new news. Since several months ago, Apple reportedly asked Foxconn to evaluate the component of the folding mechanism that can be opened and closed more than 100,000 times.

This was then reinforced by the leaked design patents that Apple had registered since 2016. The company from Cupertino, USA registered several patents for iPhone designs with folding screens.

Furthermore, reportedly the iPhone with a folding screen will be equipped with an OLED screen panel made by Samsung. However, there has been no direct confirmation from Apple when its folding screen cellphone product will be released soon.
