JAKARTA - Google Photos has received an update so that it makes it easier to back up or backup automatically for its users.

The update on Google Photos does not change how photos and videos are stored in their services but only simplifies the terms that appear in both the Google Photos application and service via the website.

"We have heard from users that the previous term was confusing and with this update we hope you can get to know new terms that are easier to remember," Google said regarding the Google Photos update as quoted by Antara, Saturday, January 14.

Misalnya salah satu term yang berubah adalah sebutan fitur back up dan sync sekarang menjadi back up saja.

When the back up feature is used you can set to activate or disable backup automatically.

To enable or disable this feature Android users can access Settings (Settings) > Google > Reserve (back up) > Photo & video (Photos & videos).

After that you can easily activate or turn off the feature.

As for iOS users, this feature can be set by opening the Google Photos app, then tapping the avatar in the upper right corner, and pressing the Google Photos settings.

After that select the backup & sync menu (back up & sync) to then enable or disable settings.

In using this feature, users can also choose the saved content size either using the original size or changing it to be lighter and more compact.

This Google Photos update has been rolled out to all users.
