Goodbye! The Zenly App Closed Next Year, Why?

JAKARTA - Real-time location tracking application, Zenly announced quite surprising news, where the application will be closed in February 2023.

The news was shared by the company via its official Instagram account, which said users had only 60 days left, before closing.

"In a stroke of genius, you joined zenly to follow those closest to you, to jot down all your favorite places and memories. It's been over 3000 days since the start of zenly and only 60 days left before it ends," reads the announcement.

Based on the company's explanation on its community page, the decision to close this application was due to economic factors that made it difficult for the company to maintain its operations.

"Unfortunately, the current economic climate makes it difficult for Zenly to maintain operations. We love that you enjoy Zenly, for spamming emojis to friends on the go, posting what's happening at the right time, joining friends when they're together. But it's time for us to say goodbye," he explained.

With this closure, at the end of the Zenly closing period, all user data will be automatically deleted, and Zenly will no longer store user data.

How to save Zenly data so it doesn't get lost

App closing will make your data lost. If you want to download data before zenly closes, you can do the following:

1. Open the Zenly app.
2. Then open Settings.
3. Click Need Help.
4. Then select Send Request.
5. Let us know if you want to download your data.
6. Next, you will be notified immediately when your data is ready and Zenly will explain how to access the data safely.
