JAKARTA Along with the development of discussions about the impact of climate change on the quality of the environment in the world, sustainability has become an issue that is increasingly being discussed and implemented in various aspects.

Sustainability is closely related to the three-zero mission, namely zero emission (zero emissions), zero waste (zero waste), and zero inequality (zero inequality). This topic also became a hot issue discussed at the G20 Summit in Bali, last week.

Research conducted by SAP and Oxford Economics found that investing in data is the key to increasing sustainability results.

For this reason, SAP Indonesia as a business process solution provider company is committed to supporting the implementation of the sustainability program in Indonesia in the company's business process by prioritizing the role of data and digitization.

Furthermore, Andreas revealed that one of the factors in the success of implementing the sustainability plan is accurate data management to help the company achieve its sustainability goals.

Alexander Aviantara, Head of Geological System and Technology of PT Petrosea Tbk, said that Petrosea has used 4.0 technology such as the Internet of Tings (IoT), science and analysis data and smart sensors in the company's operations.

"Digitalization, for example, is applied to predictive maintenance for truck maintenance and heavy equipment to increase component life and overcome fuel consumption that is detected to be high above average. This initiative helps reduce energy use and prevents wastages," said Alexander.
