JAKARTA - WhatsApp is going further again by presenting Companion Mode or Companion Mode, a new option that allows users to use one account on several devices at once.

According to a WABetaInfo report, This Companion Mode allows WhatsApp users to simultaneously set and use their accounts on four devices.

This feature has not been officially launched, but comes with the beta version 2.22.24.18 which was first tested on a tablet running the Android operating system, now WhatsApp brings beta versions for mobile users.

This Companion Mode will activate when the user installs WhatsApp on a new phone, the option will appear in the three-dot menu in the upper right corner for the Android version, then there is the Linked Device option, if it appears the user can connect with other devices via the QR code.

After linking your WhatsApp account to a new phone, the chat history will be synchronized across the linked device. Because this is a beta version, some features may not work perfectly.

It should be noted, this feature has long been available on the desktop version of WhatsApp, which can be linked easily to the mobile app.

Quoting Mashable, Tuesday, November 15, the advantage of synchronizing WhatsApp on several devices is quite clear, apart from all messages and files must always be there, regardless of which device the user opens WhatsApp, this will also make it easier for users when they forget to bring their cellphone, then their WhatsApp is present on a computer or tablet.

WhatsApp baru menghadirkan versi beta untuk Android, belum diketahui pasti apakah akan hadir untuk versi iOS dan tanggal rilis resmi fitur fitur ini juga tidak dijelaskan secara detail.
