JAKARTA - Instagram is thought to be making its social media like MySpace, because it is reportedly working on a feature that allows users to add songs to their profile.

First discovered by well-known developer and leaker Alessandro Paluzzi, via his Twitter, he posted a screenshot of the feature which is currently in the testing phase by Instagram.

Paluzzi explained, the feature adding that music will appear on the user's Instagram profile under the link. Then he tried to find out how this feature worked by adding Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up to his profile.

After it's finished adding, then the title of the song and the singer will appear in Paluzzi's profile bio, which if clicked on the song will be played.

However, an Instagram spokesperson told Mashable quoted Thursday, October 20, that this feature is an internal prototype and is not being tested externally.

This Instagram music feature looks like a feature that MySpace has, a social network for music. At the peak of popularity between 2005 and 2008, musicians can share songs and then users can customize their profiles to their favorite songs.

Since the feature is not being tested externally, it is not yet known for sure whether Instagram will make it available to its users globally.
