JAKARTA - TikTok's creative video platform collaborates with the Indonesian Teachers' Association (IGI) and the Indonesian Digital School Network (JSDI) to present educational content more creatively. This workshop was attended by more than 1,000 teachers throughout Indonesia.

Angga said that the popularity of educational content on TikTok is influenced by several things, one of which is an interesting audio visual medium. Especially the need for distance learning, which requires creators to create educational content in a more creative way and easy for the audience to understand.

"Our hope is that we want people to use TikTok to not only get entertainment, but also learn new things. We also hope that teachers can share their knowledge with their mentor children, through TikTok and show that entertainment and learning can come together in a video content. short, "he explained.

Muhammad Ramli Rahim, Chairman of the Indonesian Teachers Association (IGI) and the Indonesian Digital School Network (JSDI), said the same thing. According to him, digital platforms like TikTok do not always contain entertainment content only, but can also be used as a learning medium for delivering education.

"Educational digital content is indeed the focus of the Indonesian Teachers' Association, especially the Sekilah Digital Indonesia network because we have been trying every way so that teachers can be more creative in carrying out learning," he said.

More than that, according to Ramli, teachers need to always learn to keep up with technological developments so that they can continue to deliver effective teaching materials to students. Moreover, the attention span of students, especially generation Z, is easier to capture learning material in the form of short-duration content, such as TikTok.

Meanwhile, the government through the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo) also has a number of programs to equip digital skills for teachers, including the Coding Teacher Academy (CTA) program, which is one of four academic trainings from the Digital Talent Scholarship (DTS) program.

Coding Teacher Academy is a human resource development training program in coding material aimed at 2000 teachers who work in the field of information and communication technology (ICT), both at the SMA, SMK / MA, SMP, and SD levels.
