JAKARTA – British car manufacturer Bentley is reported to have plunged into the digital art of NFT. This is the company's move to reach Web3 in the near future.

Bentley launched its first NFT collection with a unique letter B design. With the NFT, Bentley is offering attractive access and exclusive rewards to those digital art holders.

The British luxury car manufacturer also chose to launch its digital collection on the Polygon network. The reason is, Polygon is starting to be known as a carbon-neutral blockchain. This was an important factor for Bentley in his NFT debut.

After all, the company has committed to achieving overall carbon neutrality by 2030. Therefore, it makes sense that Bentley should work closely with Polygon to ensure that its entry into NFT and Web3 is sustainable.

“Bentley customers live their lives online, buy luxury goods with digital currency, and build businesses on the Metaverse. We always engage our customers where they explore their passions, and today that means being present in the digital marketplace and offering NFT assets,” said Alain Favey, Bentley Sales and Marketing Board.

Bentley sees NFT as a means to increase the prestige of luxury car manufacturers by keeping up with the latest developments.

"We've seen how NFT raises the profile of art and artists, and we believe the same can happen in the luxury automotive space," he added.

Bentley's foray into NFT adds to the long list of automotive companies along with Lamborghini, Mercedes, and NFT that have entered the blockchain-based digital art scene.
