JAKARTA - Epic Games announced that they are adding several new features to their game streaming service.

"We recently updated the Epic Games Store with new features that we know players have been waiting for, namely Ratings and Polls," the Epic Games team wrote in their announcement, quoted on Sunday, June 19.

These new features allow players to provide direct feedback to the Epic Games Store community of the games they have played.

Once you've played the game or finished using the app, you'll see a launcher from the Epic Games Store asking for feedback at the end of your gaming session.

"Feedback will fill the store's product pages with information about games and apps, creating a better experience and helping players find the games they are more likely to like," the announcement continued.

Furthermore, Epic Games tells how the two features work.

Rating

After the playing session, at random, players will be offered the opportunity to score the game up to five stars. This score will help fill in the "Overall Rating" which will appear on the product store page.

"Because these requests are randomized, we won't spam our players, and we probably won't query every game or app they use," he explained.

Polls

For the poll, players will be asked about a number of points related to their gaming session.

"Players may be asked to answer Yes or No to the question "Is this game good to play with a group?". Players can also be given a multiple choice poll," he continued.

After collecting enough answers, their answers will help generate tags for their respective product pages. This tag can be used to filter games and apps within the Epic Games Store.
