JAKARTA - The Meta Quest Augmented Reality (AR) headset seems to be soon offering the option to play with other people on the same home screen.
Last year, Meta rolled out the Quest v41 update which added a multiplayer Horizon Home room. Now, Horizon Home allows users of their headsets to invite other users to play together.
This news was delivered directly by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Facebook saying that Quest v41 updates to bring a social presence to the virtual home.
"Meeting legendary climber Alex Honnold on the new Horizon Home launches with the Quest v41 update to bring social to your virtual home as soon as you plug in your headset," Zuckerberg wrote.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg also shared a video in which Zuckerberg and Honnold appear as avatars. In the same post, Zuckerberg said more options for customizing the space in your home are currently in development. A Meta spokesperson told Road to VR that the v41 update is coming next week.
