JAKARTA - This week, Instagram launched many new features for its application, one of which is that now users can pin or pin content to their profiles like the capabilities of TikTok.

With this feature, users can pin up to three photos and videos to the profile grid. Users can choose which photos to pin to the top of the profile grid by tapping the three dots in the top right corner of the photo or video and selecting "Pin to your profile."

"Your profile is where you belong, so we're looking for more ways to give you control over the experience," said Instagram boss Adam Mosseri.

Before this feature appeared, users only had the option to embed Stories into their profile, but the new feature expands the ability to post.

It's worth noting that this new feature works similarly to Twitter's "Pin to your profile" feature and TikTok's "Embedded videos" option, both of which allow users to pin content to the top of their profile.

The ability to pin posts to profiles has been tested since late April as a new way for users to highlight their specific photos at the top rather than hiding them from other posts.

Previously reported, Instagram also launched another update for Reels. Mosseri said that the previous 60 second video length, which was an extension added last year, has been increased again to 90 seconds.

The goal of the change is to allow users to tell a longer and fuller story.

The second Reels update is what Mosseri says is the most requested, the ability to import audio from anywhere in the phone gallery and use it for Reels.

Lastly, the third update brings interactive stickers to Reels. This includes quiz stickers, emoji sliders, poll stickers and more to Reels, with the aim of making it more interactive and fun at the Instagram Stories level.
