Actually, Gearbox Software had first added crossplay to Borderlands 3 years ago, but the feature was not supported on Sony platforms like PlayStation, at first. Launching Engadget, Pitchford revealed that Sony is blocking full cross-platform support.
Sony has refused to enable crossplay on some games in the past. Initially, Sony blocked support for it in titles like Fortnite and Rocket League before it finally appeared. But now, with this addition to PlayStation, you can have a lot of fun playing with your friends. However, as of now, full crossplay for Borderlands 3 doesn't have an exact release date. You can wait for further information from the developer in the future.
On the other hand, Gearbox Entertainment Company has announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Lost Boys Interactive, an independent video game studio working on both joint development for top-level games and original intellectual property (IP) for PC and consoles.
