JAKARTA - Samsung will hold the Samsung Galaxy A Event which will be held this week to showcase some of the latest mid-range and budget phones of 2022, on March 17.

Unlike the foldable Galaxy S and Galaxy Z phones, this is a more affordable model, which packs the essential features for the price budget.

Citing GSMArena, this event aims to announce the new Galaxy A Series smartphones. This teaser does not mention the name of the latest smartphone to be launched, but displays the letter A in various styles.

After the flagship Samsung Galaxy S22 lineup came out in February and the more affordable Samsung Galaxy S21 FE appeared in January, many were expecting a cheaper, mid-range and low-cost phone at the Galaxy A event.

Judging from last year's series A launch event, Samsung is expected to follow up on the popular Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 phones.

Although only the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G has 5G connectivity, it can be seen that all this year's models come with support for high-speed networks.

Galaxy A53 rumors suggest that it will have additional changes, along with a quad-rear camera and a 32MP selfie shooter, according to Pocket Lint.

The event teaser image, shown above, doesn't give much of a clue either. There's a seven-letter 'A', which could indicate the debut of seven A-series phones, although Samsung only showed off four at last year's launch event.
