National Bank Of Ukraine Receives Solana's Crypto Donation Of IDR 14 Billion

JAKARTA – Crypto donations for Ukraine continue to flow. Recently, a donation of 1 million US dollars (equivalent to Rp. 14 billion) from the Solana community (SOL) was received by the National Bank of Ukraine.

The initiative, known as Aid for Ukraine, was supported by Everstake, FTX, Solana Labs, Metaplex Foundation, and the Ministry of Digital Transformation through a fundraiser at SOL to support Ukraine and the victims of Russia's aggression.

The funds will be sent directly to a fundraising account for the support of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and humanitarian assistance programs through the intermediary of the National Bank of Ukraine.

So far, the initiative has raised more than US$1.4 million, of which US$375,000 came from Everstake, a Ukraine-based company and the largest decentralized staking provider in the blockchain industry. The funds will be converted by FTX, the cryptocurrency exchange and official partner of the initiative. Today, the first tranche of $1 million was delivered thanks to the hard work of the team at Everstake, FTX, Ministry of Digital Transformation and National Bank of Ukraine.

Ukraine's Ministry of Digital Transformation itself announced that it had received donations of more than US$55 million from various other crypto donations sent to Aid for Ukraine.

“Today, fundraising with crypto is very important for Ukraine because it allows us to collect direct donations from various people around the world as well as raise the political agenda about the Russian invasion of Ukraine, raise global awareness and strengthen Ukrainian support around the world,” said Oleksandr Bornyakov , Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

I would like to thank everyone from the blockchain industry who helped Ukraine, our army and Ukraine on this occasion.
