Crypto Community Continues To Support Ukraine, Someone Donates 80 Bitcoins

JAKARTA – In the midst of Russia's military intervention in Ukraine that has occurred in recent days, it has attracted sympathy from the global crypto community. Previously, news about the invasion had given negative sentiment to the crypto market so that the price of Bitcoin cs. dropped.

Then the US responded to the Russian invasion by imposing strict economic sanctions on the country led by Vladimir Putin. This helped the crypto price rebound from its initial price crash. Amidst all the doom and gloom, some hope is emerging from the crypto community.

According to Cointelegraph, Ethereum co-founder and Russian citizen Vitalik Buterin opposes the Russian invasion and says the country should not ignore the prospect of a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried decided to step up and offer financial support to the Ukrainian crypto community. Every account holder from Ukraine registered on the crypto platform FTX is entitled to 25 dollars in free money, Bankman-Fried announced on his Twitter account.

The crypto community responded to a Twitter message asking for donations to the country's army and asking the Ministry of Defense to prepare a crypto wallet; So far, nothing has been made due to state regulations.

In addition, the largest crypto writer on Medium who uses the pseudonym Crypto Whale also invites hundreds of thousands of his followers to support Ukraine. He himself donated 10,000 US dollars to the Ukrainian Red Cross.

According to a report from blockchain analytics firm Elliptic, people have given over $400,000 worth of BTC to a non-governmental organization (NGO) called Come Back Alive.

The NGO provided military equipment as well as medical and food supplies to local soldiers. Additionally, a mysterious contributor recently donated 80 BTC, worth more than US$3 million at current prices, to a charitable organization that supports the Ukrainian army.

Cyber ​​Alliance, a Ukrainian cyber activist community is reported to have donated Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and a number of stablecoins worth around $100,000 from the previous year.

Pussy Riot, a Russian rock band known for their protests against the government, has teamed up with Trippy Labs and PleasrDAO to create UkraineDAO.

UkraineDAO will sell NFT Ethereum to help war-affected Ukrainian citizens. Ten thousand NFTs of the Ukrainian flag will go on sale on the NFT marketplace. The money raised through this sale will be donated to the NGO Proliska and the Return Alive Foundation.
