JAKARTA – There was a misunderstanding regarding the ban on ASIX tokens through comments from the Twitter account @InfoBappebti belonging to the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (CoFTRA). After being visited by the ASIX development team, CoFTRA clarified that Anang Hermansyah's token was not banned.

The ban was caused because the ASIX token was deemed incompatible with CoFTRA's provisions for crypto trading in the country. In fact, ASIX is only traded on Pancakeswap's decentralized exchange (DEX), which is a foreign exchange.

Since its launch on January 27, 2022, a number of Indonesian artists have purchased ASIX tokens such as Ariel Noah, Titi Kamal, Judika, and Atta Halilintar. Responding to the information on the ban, Tirta Karma Senjaya as the Head of the Bureau of Market Guidance and Development for CoFTRA gave clarification regarding the statement made by the Twitter account @InfoBappebti on 10 February 2022.

“Yesterday there may have been a misunderstanding. In principle, ASIX Token is actually not banned, but is still in the process of being sold," added Tirta.

It didn't stop there, Tirta also said that the ASIX party, namely Anang and the team, actually showed good intentions because there was a desire to register ASIX tokens with CoFTRA. This is intended to be traded in the Indonesian market.

Attempts to register the ASIX token are already listed in the roadmap on the official website asixtoken.com. In the 1st quarter #3 2022 at the last point it says “CoFTRA license.” In addition, ASIX will also launch a play-to-earn game that adopts traditional games such as Congklak and Kites.

"Later, if the value is sufficient, it means that it is worthy of being sold and worthy of being an investment tool. So it does not harm consumers," said Tirta.

Nevertheless, Tirta said that the ASIX token registration process still requires a number of other supporting documents that must be submitted to CoFTRA to meet the 30 criteria listed in CoFTRA Regulation Number 7 of 2020.

Since the ban that was conveyed by @InfoBappebti in a comment to the @loopholeacademy account, the price of ASIX tokens has weakened. However, after Anang conveyed the clarification from CoFTRA, ASIX prices rose again. Anang stated that ASIX tokens are not prohibited from being traded, but cannot be traded on domestic crypto exchanges because they are being registered with CoFTRA.

The latest information, ASIX token is rumored to be going to the floor soon on the domestic crypto exchange, Indodax. Investor confidence has recovered after clarification from CoFTRA. This triggers a positive sentiment regarding Anang's token. At the time of writing, the ASIX token price is trading at IDR 0.089078, an increase of 8.4 percent in the last 24 hours as data reports from Coingecko.
