JAKARTA - Not only can you project the original form of an animal virtually. Now Google's Augmented Reality (AR) feature adds a collection of images or other objects such as ancient animals to space modules.

This new experience is made possible, thanks to collaborations with various museums on the Google Arts & Culture service. Quoting Slashgear, Tuesday, August 25, the Google Arts online platform is provided so that users can view high-resolution images, paintings, videos of artworks and cultural artifacts from partner organizations around the world.

To make it look more real, Google presents an ancient animal reality frame in 3D with ARCore technology. For example, the Cambropachycope animal which is shaped like an ant with a head that is so unique. There is also a creature that is shaped like a shrimp called a crustacean and has a length of only 1.5mm.

Not only that, the tech giant has partnered with the Darwin State Museum in Moscow and the Natural History Museum in London.

Thanks to AR technology, users can position and resize objects without worrying about bumping into equipment or scaring pets, if users operate Google Arts & Culture at home.

The app isn't just about exotic creatures from thousands of years ago. There are also curated art and artifacts from the story, including the Apollo 11 Command Module and various self-portraits of Frida Kahlo. All of this can be accessed for free from Android and iOS phones.

With Google Arts & Culture, users can learn what ancient creatures were on this Earth. Apart from educating, Google also has a goal of providing a better experience for users with AR technology.

For information, Google Arts & Culture can also make users take a 360 tour of a museum in partnership with Google. Users will see local artists, tour the city and local venues, watch performances and visit some of the most popular art galleries and restaurants from their home.
