Search For AI Employees Through Jobs On Twitter, Elon Musk Finds Ashok Elluswamy From India

JAKARTA - The founder and CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, is a very unique billionaire. The richest man in the world, has used social media to recruit employees. He recently revealed that India's Ashok Elluswamy was the first employee to be hired for his electric vehicle company's Autopilot team, based on his vacancies on social media.

"Ashok was the first to be recruited from my tweet, saying that Tesla started the Autopilot team!" Musk tweeted in response to a live video of his Sawyer Merritt interview on Twitter.

Elion Musk has also said that Ashok is actually the chief engineer of Autopilot. "Andrej is the director of AI; People often give me too much credit and give Andrej too much. The Tesla Autopilot AI team is very talented. Some of the smartest people in the world," he said, as quoted by Reuters.

Prior to joining Tesla, Ashok Elluswamy worked closely with the Volkswagen Electronic Research Lab and WABCO Vehicle Control System.

He holds a bachelor's degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering from the College of Engineering Guindy, Chennai and a Master's degree in Robotics Systems Development from Carnegie Mellon University.

Elon Musk recently tweeted that Tesla is looking for hardcore Artificial Intelligence (AI) engineers who care to solve problems that directly affect people's lives in a big way.

Simple job application, from interested candidates are asked to fill in fields like name, email, outstanding work done in software, hardware or AI and enter their resume in PDF format.

Elon Musk himself is currently listed as the richest person in the world, according to Forbes, with a net worth of around US$282 billion, most of which is a stake in Tesla.
