JAKARTA - Skype has added a new feature dubbed Zoom-In, which allows users to quickly zoom in on the screen using a mouse or other controls.

The Zoom-In feature aims to improve the screen sharing experience in the app where users can easily read important files and documents shared by other users.

“You're on a call and someone is sharing their screen to show you something. Everyone nods, but you squint at your computer screen trying to read the tiny text they show you. It's too small!," Skype said in its official blog, Thursday, December 23.

"You don't have to interrupt a call to use this feature! You can zoom in at any time without interrupting the meeting, and no one else on the call will know you're doing it."

Skype is slowly but surely taking its own path, as Microsoft has focused on improving enterprise users and consumers.

Although there is a lot of overlap between Teams and Skype with features like custom backgrounds and Together Mode available on both platforms. Recently both have also received minor design updates across all platforms.

How to Use the Zoom-In Function

Here are all the different ways to use the Zoom-In function:

1. Press CTRL (on Windows) or Command (on Mac) and scroll with your mouse.

2. Alternatively, you can use the touchpad to zoom in (no keyboard needed).

3. Apart from that, you can also zoom in with the controls you see on the screen.
