JAKARTA - TikTok has just announced a series of features and updates to its app, which include the For You feed, camera, editing tools, new features for the Green Screen effect, and more.

Among the updates, the Green Screen effect is one of the most used effects on the platform since its launch in 2019. The tool allows content creators to upload photos or videos with different backgrounds, and now it's integrated with GIFs.

To make this feature work, TikTok has partnered with GIPHY, a company owned by Meta. With the new integration, TikTok content creators can choose a GIF from the platform's library to use as their background, allowing for a wide variety of video types.

Apart from that, TikTok has also launched an option to upload videos in 1080p HD format. This feature will be available in certain countries. Content creators can share videos at that resolution by enabling the Upload HD setting from the More Options section of the publishing page.

As TikTok expands to attract more professional content creators, the company is also in the latest testing of a feature for live streaming from the desktop.

Another feature is a new Visual Enhancement button that will automatically increase video exposure and low light conditions as well as perform color correction. It offers content creators who are not yet proficient in video editing, and this one-tap tool can make their content look even better.

To use this tool, once content creators have recorded or uploaded a video, they have to tap on the new Enhance button that appears on the right-hand side panel. If you don't like how the adjustments make the video look, just tap the button a second time and the effect will be removed.

Lastly, TikTok is also rolling out new music and audio effects, including a feature that can turn other voices or sounds into animal sounds or the sounds of musical instruments, including flutes or cats. For information, these new features will be available in the near future on the Editing page by tapping the Voice Effects button on the right panel.
