Lastri: Arwah Kembang Desa Film Released on Gary Iskak's Birthday

The family of the late Gary Iskak and the Lastri film actors at the Tanah Kusir (IST) TPU.

JAKARTA - Ahead of the screening of the film Lastri: Arwah Kembang Desa in all Indonesian cinemas on July 16, 2026, the large family of Abelle Pictures held a pilgrimage to the grave of the late Gary Iskak at the Tanah Kusir TPU, South Jakarta.

The moment felt so emotional because it was carried out on the same day as Gary Iskak's birthday, July 11. This visit is a form of prayer, respect, and an expression of longing for the figure of an actor who has given his best dedication through the film Lastri: Arwah Kembang Desa, which is his last feature film.

Audy Bella, Hana Saraswati, Nando Hilmi, and director Hendri Tivo were present in the pilgrimage. They were also accompanied by the late wife and children of Gary Iskak in a very emotional atmosphere.

After praying together, the players and their families remembered Gary Iskak as an actor who was not only professional in front of the camera, but also warm, humble, and always brought enthusiasm to anyone who worked with him.

Representing the Lastri: Arwah Kembang Desa players, Audy Bella admitted that this pilgrimage moment has a very deep meaning.

Audy hopes that this film can be the best offering for the deceased and also a remedy for the longing of his family, friends, and fans.

"Lastri: Arwah Kembang Desa is Bang Gary's last work. Hopefully this film can be a remedy for us all. Through this film, the public can once again see his extraordinary acting on the big screen and remember all the dedication he has given to the world of Indonesian cinema," he added.

Director Hendri Tivo said that this pilgrimage was not just a promotional agenda, but a form of respect for an actor who had given his heart and soul to the film.

"Today we came as a family. We want to thank Bang Gary for all the dedication, passion, and love he gave during the production process. His presence is still very much felt in every scene in this film," he said.

Lastri: Arwah Kembang Desa is the last film that Gary Iskak managed to complete before he passed away. In this film, he plays Turenggo, a central character who is one of the keys to the mystery that shrouds Lastri's story.
