Quoting TechCrunch, Tuesday, December 14, Instagram's latest feature signifies Reels is increasingly being integrated into its wider social media platform. This new feature is similar to TikTok's video replies, which allows users to reply to comments on their content with video responses.
TikTok launched the feature last year to give users a way to offer more context about their videos and answer questions. It's no surprise that Instagram adopted the feature for its own TikTok clone.
The launch of Reels Visual Replies comes at a time when Instagram is also rolling out some new features. Recently, the company introduced the "Playback" Stories time capsule feature. This feature leverages the Stories Archive, so users can customize and select up to 10 Stories to share with their followers.
To be eligible for this feature, users must post more than three Stories this year or activate the Stories Archive. If the user does not like the Stories selected by Instagram, the user can change it and choose another.
Apart from that, the company is now also testing a new feature dubbed “Take a Break” which will allow users to remind themselves to take a break from Instagram after 10, 20 or 30 minutes.
