JAKARTA - After successfully bringing four amateur astronauts some time ago including its founder, Jeff Bezos, now Blue Origin has successfully launched a six-person crew to the edge of outer space for the first time.

On the flight, Blue Origin brought a personal crew of astronauts including acclaimed former Super Bowl soccer star and now TV presenter, Michael Strahan, as well as the daughter of America's first astronaut, Laura Shepard Churchley.

"We had a great flight today. This is our sixth flight in an extraordinary year for the New Shepard program. We (already) put 14 astronauts into space, flew a NASA payload testing Moon landing sensors, and completed a certification test flight. us,” said Blue Origin CEO Bob Smith.

The six men enjoyed 10 minutes at the border between Earth and space on the NS-19 mission aboard the Blue Origin New Shepard rocket. The rocket launched from Van Horn in Texas at 10 a.m. ET (22:00 CEST) on Saturday, December 11.

According to Digital Trends, Monday, December 13, the crew consisted of four paying passengers (including a father and son), plus Blue Origin guest Laura Shepard Churchley, daughter of first US astronaut Alan Shepard, and former New York Giants star and TV host. this time, Michael Strahan.

After the flight, Strahan shared his experience via his Twitter account, "I must say, it's real! It's unbelievable. It's hard to even describe it. It will take a little time to process," Strahan said in the short video he uploaded.

In July, Blue Origin took Jeff Bezos and his brother Mark Bezos, one of the Mercury 13 pilots, Wally Funk, and Oliver Daemen, an 18-year-old physics student, on a 10-minute 18-second New Shepard flight to the edge of space. , and made it back to Earth smoothly.
