JAKARTA - A game that has gained success from the COVID-19 pandemic, Among Us will soon get a major update, one of which is a new role in the game.

That said, Innersloth said it's still keeping most details private about the upcoming update, but revealed one big change early to get players excited: the new Impostor role.

Quoting Slashgear, Wednesday, November 3, Innersloth said, the role of the new Impostors will be Shapeshifters, enemies who can disguise their appearance as existing crew members. The shapeshifting process involves an egg-like object appearing above the Shapeshifter.

Later, Crewmates will look into this transformation process, making it a risky move that may pay off if used with care. Also, the default settings will result in the Shapeshifter returning to its original state after a while.

In addition, game hosts will be given the ability to choose how many Shapeshifters can enter the match area and the chance that an Impostor will appear with the ability to shapeshift.

One of the examples the host provides can limit matches to a maximum of two modifiers with a 30 percent chance, Impostor will appear with extra capabilities.

Although this is the only update to the Impostor role in the game. Increased complexity is arguably a must at this point in the age of Among Us. Because, the game has become a bit boring over the last few months.
