Premier League Cup: Tuchel Will Make A Rotation As Chelsea Face Southampton

JAKARTA - Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that there will be a rotation in the Blues' line-up when they face Southampton in the last 16 of the English League Cup, Tuesday night local time.

"There will be some substitutions, how much I don't know right now. Sometimes you can't be completely sure, are you interrupting a good line, is it better to keep everyone there and play to continue the momentum or is this a moment to give the players a break?", explained Tuchel quoted by Antara from the club's official website, Tuesday.

Tuchel's next concern in this match is whether the Premier League Cup is the right moment to give some players minutes to play.

According to the German coach, he must be fair to all the players and find out if there are positions available for the players where they can show their potential which can make them even better.

"Whether a moment in the Carabao Cup can give players a few minutes to play. Still, it needs to make sense, it needs to be fair to the players. Do we have a position available, do we have a position where he can show his potential, so he can get better?", Tuchel said.

Despite having a lot of considerations, Tuchel thinks the most important thing is that the performance at the highest level can come from whoever is fielded.

He is currently happy with everyone coming out and playing because he managed to play the style and intensity with what he expected.

"At the moment I'm happy that everyone who comes in and plays, plays with the same style and intensity. I'm excited about this team, that when we play we push ourselves to the limit on this very special match day, and this will be on Tuesday against Southampton.
