Bali United Vs. Persib Bandung Are Equally Strong, Robert Alberts: We Should Be Able To Take Advantage Of More Players

JAKARTA - Persib Bandung had to settle for a 2-2 draw with Bali United in the third week of the 2021/2022 Liga 1 match at the Indomilk Arena Stadium, Tangerang, Saturday night.

Maung Bandung coach, Robert Alberts admitted that his team's performance in this match was still not optimal.

In that match, Persib was left behind by Ilija Spasojevic's goal. The Blue Prince squad was able to reverse the advantage through Beckham Nugraha's two goals. However, Yabes Roni equalized again.

"We were able to lead 2-1 in the second half after Bali United minus one player. We should have used it to get a better result," said Robert after the match was quoted from the official Persib website, Sunday.

In this match, Persib conceded two goals when Nick Kuipers did not play. Robert explained, Kuipers was not in one hundred percent condition to undergo the game for 90 minutes.

Previously, Kuipers had suffered an injury during the match against Persita.

"Nick was not ready to play for 90 minutes. It was our plan to play him in the second half of this match," he explained.

This result makes both teams have to go down in the rankings in the League 1 standings this season. Persib is in the third position, while Bali United is one strip above them.

Next, Persib will be challenged by Borneo FC on Thursday, September 23. Meanwhile, Bali United will face Persita Tangerang the following day.
