Rodgers Says Napoli Don't Have Many Chances, Statistics Prove: Partenopei Make 22 Attempts To Goal, The Foxes Only 7

JAKARTA - Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers insists Napoli did not create too many chances despite their good possession in their 2-2 Europa League draw on Friday.

The Foxes lead 2-0 over at the King Power Stadium. However, it came when the Partenopei squandered many chances before Victor Osimhen hit back with two late goals.

"Disappointed with the final result but some interesting and good moments - two incredible goals and one disallowed that's very tight," Rodgers told BT Sport.

"Maybe we were a little tired, some players were getting minutes. There are things we need to improve on – keeping the ball better for longer, if we do we won't get tired so quickly.

"Our effort and mentality was good, it's a shame we couldn't close it. I don't think they created too many chances, we had good possession," said Rodgers.

Even so, the actual statistics show that Napoli have 58 percent possession and 22 attempts on goal while Leicester have seven.

Leicester also overall played like an away team, defending and on the counter-attack. However, even then they still failed to maintain their 2-0 lead.
