Juventus Are Not Favorites To Win In The Champions League, Danilo: We Are Motivated

JAKARTA - Juventus' Brazilian wing-back Danilo admits his club is not the favorite to win the European Champions League club title.

Quoted by Antara from Italian Football, Tuesday, even so, Danilo believes that with hard work, Juventus can face this championship in a competitive way.

"We are not among the favorites to win the Champions League, but I believe in hard work and we are all motivated to face the season in a competitive way," said Danilo.

The 30-year-old said clubs such as Manchester City, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) were favorites to win the Champions League. Danilo thinks they are one step ahead of Juventus.

"On paper, they are one step ahead of us," said Danilo.

The former City and Real Madrid defender then explained that the arrival of Massimiliano Allegri to Juventus this season gave hope for the Bianconeri to be able to talk a lot in the competition they participate in.

In addition, Danilo also said that he has been at Juventus for two years and feels great to be in Turin.

"Allegri has made history at this club, he has victory in his DNA.

"However, I've been at Juventus for two years and I identify with the values that exist at the club. It's great to be here," explained Danilo.

In the Champions League, Juventus are in Group H joined by last season's champions, Chelsea, then there are Malmo and Zenit St. Petersburg.

The last time Juventus managed to win the Champions League was in 1996 and after that, the Bianconeri managed to enter the final five times even though they ended up losing.
