The Last Batch Of Indonesian Contingents Arrived In The Country, Minister Of Youth And Sports: We Accept Them With Pride And Gratitude

JAKARTA - Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali directly welcomed the return of the last batch of the Indonesian contingent for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics at terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Cengkareng, Tangerang, Tuesday at 04.00 WIB.

The Indonesian contingent that arrived today consisted of 15 athletes, six coaches, seven officials from the Indonesian NPC and the Indonesian Paralympic Team, as well as 9 officials. The last group was led by Chef de Mission (CdM) Andi Herman and Chairman of the Indonesian National Paralympic Committee (NPC) Senny Marbun.

In his remarks, Minister of Youth and Sports Amali congratulated and thanked the Indonesian contingent for the struggle of the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.

"This morning, we again received the Indonesian contingent with pride and gratitude that they had returned safely to the country and also brought results, making achievements for the nation and state," said the Minister of Youth and Sports in his remarks, quoted by Antara.

On this occasion, the Minister of Youth and Sports also conveyed greetings and messages from President Joko Widodo. "Later on, the schedule for the Indonesian contingent will be received directly by the president at the Palace," he added.

In this last batch, Deputy CdM Edward Naek Parulian, Secretary General of NPC Osrita Muslim, Deputy Secretary General of NPC Indonesia Rima Ferdianto, and COVID-19 Liaison Officer (CLO) Indonesia Andar Perdana Widiastono were also present.

The athletes who returned to the country in this last batch were badminton para- badminton Irfan Dwi Nurfianto, Hary Susanto, Dheva Anrimusthi, Fredy Setiawan, Ukun Rukaendi, Leani Ratri Oktila, Khalimatus Sadiyah and Suryo Nugroho.

From the para-athletic sports, Famini, Jaenal Aripin, Elvin Elhudia Sesa, Karisma Evi Tiarani, Saptoyogo Purnomo, Putri Aulia and Setiyo Budihartanto.

Meanwhile, the coaches consisted of Sapta Kunta Purnama, Muhammad Nurachman, Yunita Ambar Wulandari, Slamet Widodo, Abdul Aziz, Purwo and Adi Sanyoto.

The official team are Suryo Saputra Perdana, Ferry Kustono, Robertus Surya Wardhana, Islahuzzaman Nur Yadin, Anggita Putri Melati, Katno, Yasin Onasie, Antin Okfitasari Sutino, and Sophia Prawindya.
