MU Requires Audience Over 18 Years To Be Certified COVID-19 Vaccine

JAKARTA - Manchester United on Monday revealed that spectators coming to Old Trafford should be prepared to have their COVID-19 status checked.

This rule will be applied to start the match against Newcastle United, Saturday this week.

Spectators over the age of 18 must show they have been fully vaccinated or show a negative result on a COVID-19 PCR or similar test within 48 hours of kick-off.

The move comes after the UK government indicated that COVID-19 vaccine certificate checks may be mandatory for those attending major events from October 1.

"Manchester United are obliged to follow these national government guidelines to ensure all spectators can attend matches safely and seek to avoid further capacity restrictions in the future", the club said as quoted by Antara from Reuters.
