Called Useless, This Ring Girl Opened Her Voice And Attacked Khabib Nurmagomedov

JAKARTA - Ring girl is a woman who enters the ring in the middle of a combat sports round, carrying a sign containing the number of the next round. However, Khabib Nurmagomedov's whereabouts have been questioned.

The former UFC fighter once said: "I don't want to offend anyone, ring girls are the most useless people in martial arts. What does it do?"

Khabib's comments about the ring girl have received criticism from many parties. One of them ring girl itself.

Sara Beverley Jones, who previously worked on the Anthony Joshua fight, told Daily Star Sport that Khabib should correct his words about ring girls.

"Khabib commented on ring girls in MMA and called them useless and a distraction in a fight," Sara said.

"It seemed strange to me because ring girls would only enter the arena at intervals, so they weren't a distraction in a match," he continued.

Jones said she didn't understand Khabib's opinion and that being a ring girl opened the door to other opportunities in the sport.

"It's a great job and a great side income for a lot of women who enjoy doing it. I know a lot of ring girls feel very lucky for the opportunity to work on a big fighting event, like the upcoming Joshua vs Usyk fight."
