JAKARTA - Egy Maulana Vikri's contract at Polish club Lechia Gdansk has ended. The attacking midfielder for the Indonesian national team left the club he had defended since 2018.

Egy's parting with Lechia Gdansk was announced by the player through his social media. Through Instagram, Egy also thanked all those who had supported him so far.

"Coaches, officials, teammates and all the supporters thank you very much for the great experiences and moments over the past 3 years. I wish you all the best this season and wish you the best of the league this season," wrote Egy in English.

Egy's upload was responded to by Indonesian fans with various comments. Mostly, asking the player not to go home and compete in League 1.

"It's time to prove it at another club, but don't go to the Indonesian League, where you deserve to be in Europe," said an account named @iketut_dwipay***

So far there has been no further information on where Egy will be anchored.

Since joining Lechia in 2018, Egy Maualana Vikri has struggled to get a position in the first team. This season, Egy played in seven games with a total of 77 minutes played.
