Dominate 75 Percent Of Ball Possession, Spanish Striker Blunt In Front Of Goal Robin Olsen

JAKARTA - Spain dominated 75 percent of the ball possession throughout the match, but Luis Enrique's team failed to convert it into a single goal against Sweden in the Euro 2020 Group E match which took place at La Cartuja Stadium, Sevilla, Spain, Monday local time (Tuesday, western Indonesia time).

As reported by Antara, Sweden goalkeeper Robin Olsen certainly played a major role in that, considering he saved five of Spain's 17 attempted shots on target throughout the match.

Olsen's first brilliant save came in the 16th minute when he displayed a brilliant reflex to parry Dani Olmo's sharp header from Koke's brilliant cross.

Then the Everton goalkeeper was also able to stop Olmo's long-range shot right at the end of the first half.

Olsen then made two other brilliant saves in stoppage time to deny Gerard Moreno and Pablo Sarabia.

Apart from Olsen's saves, Spain also has to blame themselves for failing to take advantage of so many chances inside the Swedish penalty box throughout the match.

One of them, Alvaro Morata, wasted a good chance in the 38th minute but his shot went off target.

In contrast, Alexander Isak became the best player for Sweden even though they did not have much possession of the ball.

Isak almost forced Marcos Llorente to score an own goal in the 41st minute when the Real Sociedad forward fired in from the right, fortunately, Llorente's header hit the post before being saved by goalkeeper Unai Simon.

This result is clearly an injection of confidence for Sweden who will next face Group E leaders, Slovakia, in Saint Petersburg on Friday, June 18.

Meanwhile, Spain must immediately overcome their infertility when they host Poland in La Cartuja a day later.
