Derek Chisora has hinted at hanging up his gloves after he suffered a split decision defeat to Deontay Wilder at the weekend.

Chisora, who is currently 42 years old, fought bravely in 12 rounds at The O2 Arena, London, England. It was the 50th professional fight in his career and was touted as the last.

After the defeat, he immediately hinted that he would not duel again, but insisted that he would still be involved in the world of boxing with a different role.

"I'm not saying I'll fight again, but I might do something else in the boxing world," Chisora said, as reported by TalkSport.

The British fighter has had an incredible career in the heavyweight division. He has been recorded twice to challenge the WBC heavyweight title in 2012 and 2022.

On both occasions, it all ended in defeat. He suffered his first defeat through a unanimous decision (unanimous decision) when he met Vitali Klitschko and lost a technical knockout (TKO) against Tyson Fury.

"Now I'm tired. I can't fight anymore. You know when the time comes. I've had a great career. I always say boxing opens a lot of doors," he said.

Chisora is a true entertainer and will likely receive offers to appear at various events or work in the entertainment field in the boxing business.

On the other hand, Wilder, who won the fight, confirmed that he would continue his career. He even challenged Anthony Joshua (AJ) after his victory.

Bentrok with Joshua is considered one of the very reasonable fights. AJ, who has not fought since winning a knockout (KO) against Jake Paul at the end of last year, is currently back in training to pursue a big fight before the end of this year.
