JAKARTA - A total of 30 Indonesian golfers, a combination of professionals and amateurs, will participate in the 2026 Indonesia Women's Open (IWO), whose prizes have doubled.
The prestigious women's golf tournament is scheduled to roll from January 30 to February 1, 2026 at the Damai Indah Golf-BSD Course, Tangerang, Banten. This is the second year the event has rolled after its debut last year.
C.K. Song as Chairman of the Indonesia Women's Open said he was very optimistic that IWO could give a boost to the development of women's golf in Indonesia and become a competition for Asian-Pacific women golfers.
"My dream is to make this IWO the largest and most prestigious women's tournament in Southeast Asia in the next five years," he said.
This year's tournament, which is held by the Asia Golf Leaders Forum (AGLF) and co-sanctioned by the Indonesian Golf Association (PGI) and the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Tour (KLPGT), offers a total prize of 600 thousand US dollars (about Rp. 10 billion).
The prize money for the tournament has doubled compared to its debut last year, making IWO 2026 the most expensive women's professional golf tournament on the Asia-Pacific circuit.
IWO 2026 will be the opening of the Asia-Pacific Circuit (APAC Circuit) Series Tour 2026 after the Taiwan Mobile Ladies Open in December 2025. The APAC Circuit has an important role in developing women's golf in the Asia-Pacific region, replacing the Women's Asia Circuit and Ladies Asia Golf Tour (LAGT).
The IWO 2026 event received full support from Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN). The support is a form of commitment to be involved in the development of women's golf in Indonesia.
Division Head of Retail Funding Division of BTN, Frengky Rosadrian, said that encouraging the progress of Indonesian sports is the DNA of their company, including supporting football clubs and prestigious running events.
"That's our background, why we are so enthusiastic about entering this event. We saw last year's event was successful and neat so we believe this is the right decision to join as a sponsor of IWO," he said.
Overall, the IWO 2026 Presented by BTN was attended by 120 best golfers. They are elite athletes from the KLPGA Dream Tour and top golfers representing more than 12 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
This year, Kristina Natalia Yoko is back as one of the mainstays of the Indonesian host. He also hopes to give a better performance after last year's IWO, which was his debut in the professional, managed to pass the cut.
"IWO is a big milestone, an important point in my career as a professional golfer. I hope to bring the best quality of play and contribute to the progress of Indonesian pro ladies," said Yoko.
