PSSI has released a list of nominees for the best players for the 2026 PSSI Award on Thursday, December 25, 2025.
The list of nominees for the PSSI Award category for best player is Rizky Ridho, Calvin Verdonk, Jay Idzes, Yakob Sayuri, and Kevin Diks.
Rizky Ridho is the vice captain of the Indonesian National Team who is a mainstay player in the back line of the Garuda Team. He currently defends the capital club, Persija Jakarta.
Next, there is Yakob Sayuri who is a player in the wingback or winger sector. This mainstay of the Indonesian National Team is now playing for Malut United.
The captain of the Indonesian National Team, namely Jay Idzes, is also nominated for the best player. Now Idzes is listed as a player for the Serie A club, Sassuolo.

The nine categories whose winners were determined by voting include the Best Male Player, the Best Female Player, the Best Male Goalkeeper, the Best Female Goalkeeper, the Best Male Young Player, the Best Female Young Player, the Best Goal, the Best Assist, and the Best Save.
Meanwhile, eight other categories are included in special recognition awards that do not go through the voting process and are determined directly by PSSI's internal.
The special recognition awards category includes the Best Referee, Best Assistant Referee, Best Football Legend, Best Asprov, Best Youth Development, Best Football Development Program, Best Supporter, and Best Person Behind the Jersey.
