Super League 2025/2026 standings: Persija fails to beat Persib after losing in Padang

Persija Jakarta without points when facing Semen Padang, was ousted from the second position in the Super League standings (doc. Persija).

JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta failed to displace Persib Bandung in the 2025/2026 Super League standings after suffering a 0-1 defeat at home to Semen Padang, Monday, December 22, 2025.

Persija's visit to the Kabau Sirah headquarters was bitter because the defeat was created by Jordi Amat's own goal in the 83rd minute. Before that happened, the Kemayoran Tigers even had to play with 10 players after Figo Dennis got a red card in the 37th minute.

The bitter situation did not stop there. Macan Kemayoran again lost a player and played with nine people in the rest of the match after Fabio Da Silva also received a red card in the 90th minute +7.

Persija actually could score a counter-goal through Maxwell's right foot in the 90th+11 minute. However, the goal was annulled by the referee after Allana was considered to have first committed a foul before Maxwell scored.

The defeat was a big loss for Persija. In addition to losing two players for the next match, they also failed to bring home points.

This situation makes Persija's position in the 15th week of the Super League standings even overtaken by Persib Bandung who is now in second place.

Maung Bandung climbed to second place after winning 2-0 over Bhayangkara FC one day earlier. Currently, Persib is two points ahead of Persija.

Semen Padang also improved its ranking, climbing to 16th place in the standings after collecting 10 points. Kabau Sirah is now two points behind PSBS Biak, which is in 15th place or the last position in the safe zone.
