In The Aftermath Of Tekel Keras, Justin Hubner Reaps Spicy Criticism From Fortuna Sittard Coach

JAKARTA - Fortuna Sittard coach Danny Buijs has made strong criticism of the incident involving Justin Hubner. He said what happened on the pitch was stupid.

Fortuna Sittard faced Ajax Amsterdam in matchday 15 of the Eredivisie at the Fortuna Sittard Stadium on Sunday, December 7, 2025, early morning WIB. In that match, the hosts lost 1-3.

Although he had won 1-0 first through Kaj Sierhuis' quick goal in the fourth minute, Ajax equalized the score 1-1. The situation occurred just before halftime through Van Ottele's own goal in the 45+6 minute.

In just seven minutes after the second half kickoff, Ajax turned 3-1 ahead through an own goal by Fosso and Wijndal.

Left behind in a short time frustrated Fortuna players, including Justin Hubner, who had just played in the second half. The pressing situation saw Hubner tackle Bounida from behind in the 53rd minute near the midfield line.

The tackle was carried out by Hubner in a position that was not too dangerous for Fortuna. However, it actually frustrated coach Danny Buijs.

Buijs regretted that Hubner's hard tackle was carried out eight minutes after entering the field and occurring away from the net.

"With a score of 1-3 on your mind, it's not frustrating because he just got in. If you just got in, you're not going to tackle like that twenty meters from your goal, are you? That's stupid," said Buijs.
